Kaibab Lodge is in the heart of the North Kaibab National Forest, just five miles from the entrance to the north rim of Grand Canyon National Park. Built "about 1926-1927", the lodge is said by some to have once been a working cattle ranch. Now, it's a quiet place where people come to see deer, wild turkey, the unique Kaibab squirrel, a variety of wild birds, or to visit the national park.
At 8,770 feet above sea level, the lodge is cool when the surrounding desert is hot. We are known as a “get away from it all location”, nothing and no one is going to interrupt your vacation. In the lodge, relax around the old stone fireplace. Enjoy a glass of wine. Chat with family and friends. Browse around our little souvenir shop for that special memento of your trip. Full of history and rich in charm, hearts are warmed and memories are made for all those who come to visit.
Looking for a more tranquil time of year to visit the Grand Canyon? Make your reservations during the month of August on the much cooler North Rim.
Not only is the lodge located 5 miles from the north rim of The Grand Canyon, but we are also a central location for other popular adventure destinations such as Zions National Park, Lake Powell, Marble Canyon, Lees Ferry, and Bryce Canyon National Park.
Kaibab Lodge has recently gone under new ownership. We are completely renovating all of our cabins and expanding our horizons.
In addition to our peaceful and scenic lodging, we are currently building 10 new log cabins that can accommodate up to 8 people, perfect for groups or small families.
